LCG President calls on Lara residents to attend a critical meeting with Parks Victoria's management next Wednesday
"This meeting is one of the most important we've had about Serendip since LCG started in 2004," said Barry White, President of Lara Care Group.
"We've received a letter from the Chair of Parks Victoria's Board, John Pandazopoulos, that foreshadows more community involvement in the future of Serendip."
"Three of Parks Victoria's top Regional staff have been invited by LCG to address community concerns at the meeting. We also expect them to deliver more information about a community reference group."
"On Wednesday Lara residents have the opportunity to influence the future development of Serendip and its role in conservation, education and tourism."
"Don't miss this meeting," Mr White said, "A large turnout will have a big impact on Serendip's future."
Can you ask questions at the meeting?
Following a presentation by Parks Victoria, all participants will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Sarah Mansfield asks Government to protect Serendip
Last Thursday, our new upper house member for Western Region, Sarah Mansfield, asked a question in Parliament on behalf of the Lara Care Group.
She says:
"We have an opportunity to return the sanctuary in the You Yangs [region] to its former glory. Serendip should be a place for young and old to learn, play, and explore, and develop an appreciation for conservation. The community deserves to know what is going on, so I hope to have updates soon."
You can read more here on Ms Mansfield's Facebook page. More on this in a future update.
